How Obayashi Collaborates in the Silicon Valley Community

Hiroto Sato, Obayashi Corporation, COO/CFO of Obayashi SVVL, Inc. (Silicon Valley Ventures & Laboratory)
BIO:
Hiroto Sato leads Obayashi’s Silicon Valley R&D office, “Silicon Valley Ventures & Laboratory (SVVL)”, which was established in October 2017. His mission is to promote collaborations between startups, US group companies, and the Japan-based Technology Research Institute (TRI) of Obayashi, to create innovative software/products in the construction market. Sato has worked for Obayashi since 1994. After earning his MBA in the US in 2011, he had worked as a manager of Obayashi’s North American Regional HQ (San Francisco). He implemented the restructuring of the US business operation and executed M&A for a US construction company. He holds a B.A. degree in Environmental Information (Urban Design) from Keio University in Japan.
